This is a cute little thing which you would love to flaunt; carry with you in your purse and for a change, this cute thing is also a phone. This is what Micromax Bling Q55 is all about. If mobile phone is more of an accessory for you rather than just a gadget, then Micromax Bling is meant for you. Especially designed for the fairer sex, this cute little twinkling clamshell will definitely make a woman go wow on it.
When you hold it in your hands, you will understand that Micromax Bling is the perfect gift for a woman. The cover is embellished with gorgeous SWAROVSKI keys and a QWERTY keyboard. Being an extremely feminine phone it has a design which will completely woo you. The phone looks flashy in its glossy white ornate chassis. It is also available in limited edition black colour. The Micromax Bling is quite similar to the Nokia Twist but this one is strictly for ladies! Another unique feature is the presence of a mirror behind the screen making the target pretty obvious. QWERTY keypad is unveiled by flipping it open. No doubt the backlit QWERTY keyboard is quite decent but it feels more of a piece of accessory. The phone has 2.4 inch TFT screen with good resolution. The normal connection ports like a micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack are present. The build quality is pretty good and the phone feels pretty sturdy in hand despite the style element.
Well the story actually does not go much beyond that. The stunning looks notwithstanding, the phone actually has lackluster feature set. Something like beauty without much brain. Bling runs on low built-in memory of 12.2 mb which means you are completely dependent on external memory (expandable using the MicroSD slot). The basic default web browser or Opera Mini browser are workable though not a very smart choice. Though the phone possesses EDGE/GPRS/WAP/MMS connectivity, it does not ensure a very strong network reception. Not to forget, another smart feature namely dual SIM support. The phone provides 2separate call buttons for respective SIM cards and shortcut buttons are provided for social networking for Facebook and Instant Messaging. It runs on a proprietary OS that is functional but not very fast.
The Mobile phone covers all multimedia features. Yamaha powers the Music player which is multi format. The audio quality is just about mediocre and Bluetooth (A2DP) is also present for wireless music along with a decent video player. Upon opening the slider the 2 megapixel camera is operated and you can click pictures and record videos. The image reproduction is apt for the price. Though Micromax Bling has style many might not find this phone to be a dependable and practical handset. Available in a flashy design and having little storage capacity it is meant for the heavily attired ladies as compared to college girls who use a phone for features like messaging and calling. It does not have Wi-Fi or 3G too. But, Micromax targets it for a particular audience in mind. The 3 crystals on the cover of the phone are called "Enlightened Swaroski elements" by Micromax. So, it might attract some eyes as a lucky charm. The battery backup is great and connectivity and call quality are decent. A lot of people will love to own it just because of how great it looks and will purchase it as a secondary handset.
